Dream Center Las Vegas
Our whole goal as a church is touch our community. Our heart is that we are not just a church but we are a church that is “In Our City For Our City” it’s important to us for our community to know that we are there for them. So throughout the year we have weekly food give a ways, monthly farmers’ markets. Free tutoring for children, school supplies and backpacks for the school year and we also help them with every holiday such as Easter and Thanksgiving.
It’s important to us that our community and others who are in need are taken care of. So during Christmas we have what we call “Operation Christmas Gift Give a Way” which is one of our biggest outreaches of the year for families in need. We want to make sure that these kids and their families have a good Christmas. We decorate a room and make it look like a winter wonderland. Kids and their parents come in and the kids receive 2 wrapped gifts (age appropriate) and then they have 4 tables they can go to and pick 1 unwrapped gift from every table.
Then the kids get to visit Santa and Mrs Clause where they will receive a book, stuffed animal and a candy cane. These kids eyes light up as soon as they enter the room and see all the gifts! Some of the kids have received bikes for the very first time! It brings tears to our eyes to see the joy that is oozing out of them when they realize that that bike is there’s to keep. Many parents have said “we would have not had any kind of Christmas if it wasn’t for the Dream Center. To be able to partner with you to provide a personal touch and adopt a few of these families that are really hurting this year would be amazing. So thank you for your support and we are so excited to partner with your adopt a family program to help these families have what they need to make this the best Christmas this year.
How ever many you can sponsor would be greatly appreciated.
We have about 10 families that are really in need. So anything that donors can do to help us meet that goal would be an answer to prayer!
Our deepest gratitude
